Rum brand Chairman’s Reserve has partnered with Cardiff cocktail bar Pennyroyal to develop a limited-edition rum blend for the Chairman’s Reserve Masters Selection series.
Pennyroyal owner Alex Taylor, worked closely with Chairman Reserve’s master blender, Deny Duplessis, to hand select and blend 50% John Dore 1 pot still, and 50% Coffey still rums.
Each rum is molasses-based and has spent 10 years in ex-bourbon casks.
Describing the blend, Taylor said: “Complex like your latest dating match. Bang it in a Daiquiri, it’s like when you splash out on fabric softener.”
To celebrate the limited 256 bottle launch, Pennyroyal will be taking over London’s Trailer Happiness on Tuesday 20 December.
The Masters Selection series sees the St Lucian rum partner with like-minded collaborators on a limited-edition rum blend each year.
Chairman’s Reserve Masters Selection – Pennyroyal will be available to purchase in-venue at Pennyroyal, the Trailer Happiness takeover, and through the Pennyroyal website.
