Carey Hanlon and Caitlin Waugh of New Wave Hospitality Group are to expand the footprint of Slowpour in Liverpool, doubling the size of the venue.
The venue will expand into the site's back room, which was formerly a coffee roastery, with the refurb featuring a steel bar top and double station.
Slowpour, a finalist in the New Bar of the Year category at the Class Bar Awards 2026, is also expanding its team with Patrick Kelleher joining new hire Mollie Foster at the basement cocktail venue.
Kelleher has a CV that lists Cocktail Trading Company, Milk & Honey, Coupette and Callooh Callay while Foster was previously bar manager at Liverpool restaurant Nord.
Hanlon and Waugh said: “The goal all along was to make Slowpour as big and brilliant as it could possibly be and we’ve absolutely hit the jackpot with this team."
