The UK has once again had a strong showing in The World's 50 Best Bars 51-100 list, with London's Lyaness leading the quintette of English bars.

The 51-100 list is released a week ahead of the announcement of The World’s 50 Best Bars, this year on October 17th in Singapore.

Ryan Chetiyawardana and Alex Lawrence's Sea Containers London bar narrowly missed out on the 50, placing in 54th. The South Bank venue was a member of The World's 50 Best Bars in 2019 and 2020, while it appeared in the 51-100 list in 2021.

Swift Soho - owned by Mia Johansson, Bobby Hiddleston, Edmund Weil and Rosie Stimpson - also made the under-list, in 76th, having appeared in the full list four times, including last year.

The Salvatore Calabrese-fronted hotel venue Donovan's Bar in London appeared in the Awards’ secondary list in 2019, 2020, 2022 and now reappears in 2023 in 92nd.

Schofield's Bar in Manchester - owned by Daniel and Joe Schofield - meanwhile consolidated its position in the list, taking 95th place this year.

Completing the UK contingent is Artesian in London, helmed by Giulia Cuccurullo, which finished 100th. The bar has made seven full lists, including taking four wins from 2012-2015.

The World's 50 Best Bars is voted for by 680 bar experts around the world.
