Paolo Scialpi – formerly of Connaught Bar - has joined Altamura vodka as brand advocate for luxury hospitality.
The former bar supervisor returned to his native Puglia this summer after five years at the CLASS Hotel Bar of the Year.
Scialpi is joining to "expand collaborations with influential hospitality brands", in the vodka’s core markets of the UK, US and India.
Scialpi said: "The decision to come back to Puglia, from the UK, was taken early this year, although was matured in my head beforehand. I wanted to bring my idea of luxury hospitality, fully developed in my unique London experience, back where everything started [for me].
“My new role as a brand advocate for Luxury Hospitality for Altamura distillery allows me to showcase the uniqueness of a spirit given by an Apulian grain and gives me the chance to elevate the luxurious flavours and impeccable hospitality that Puglia has to offer.”
