Kensington’s Amaro Bar has announced that Camparino in Galleria’s Stefano Agostino and Giuseppe Capuano will be taking over the bar for a Negroni Week closing party this Sunday.

The 100-year-old Milan bar ranked number 27 in the 2021 World’s 50 Best Bars list and is renowned for being the birthplace of Milanese aperitivo and the home of Campari, the takeover's sponsor.

“Camparino in Galleria is the birthplace of the Milanese aperitivo and the proud home of Campari, the red heart of every Negroni,” said, Tommaso Cecca, Global Head of Camparino Licensing & Mixology.

“For one evening only, our expert mixologists Stefano Agostino and Giuseppe Capuano will delight cocktail lovers with an authentic Milanese aperitivo experience.”

The night’s menu will see a selection of signature serves from Camparino’s Sala Spiritello bar including the Garibaldi, Compadre, Sambuco and the Lucien Gaudin, a vintage French riff on a Negroni.

The Amaro Bar team have created a trilogy of Negroni twists for the event, Fig Leaves, Coco-Strawberry, and the Brian Silva Negroni.

“We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate Negroni Week than doing it in company of the Camparino team,” said Elon Soddu, owner and manager of Amaro Bar added.

“Camparino in Galleria is certainly an inspiration for all the mixologists who are passionate about classic cocktails. Our mixology and hospitality style at Amaro has a lot in common with them and we cannot wait to share it with the guests who will join us on Sunday.”

Camparino in Galleria will be taking over Amaro Bar from 7-11pm on Sunday 24 September. Entry is free but reservations are recommended, head to https://www.amarobar.co.uk/ for bookings.
