Five UK hotels - each boasting leading hospitality venues - have made the inaugural World's 50 Best Best Hotels list, which was unveiled at London's Guildhall last night. 


While the number one hotel in the world was named as Passalacqua on Lake Como in Italy, London's Claridge's (pictured above) was the highest ranking UK hotel in 16th. Among its hospitality venues are Claridge's Bar and The Painter's Room. 

In 22nd came The Connaught in Mayfair, which boasts Class' Hotel Bar of the Year Connaught Bar, with Coburg Bar and Red Bar in support. 

Gleneagles in Auchterarder, Scotland, finished in 32nd. The hotel, whose cocktail bars include the flagship American Bar and larger lounge venue Century Bar (pictured above), also took home the Art of Hospitality Award 2023. 

Nomad London, only two years old, has become a centre of hospitality with the Nomad Bar, Side Hustle and Common Decency (pictured below) all offering strong cocktail programmes - the hotel took 46th spot in The World's 50 Best Hotels list. 

While The Savoy - the famous home of The American Bar and Beaufort Bar - was named the 47th best hotel in the world.
